Open Position: Senior Life Cycle Assessment Practitioner
We are currently seeking a full-time, fully remote Senior LCA Practitioner who will provide technically rigorous, practical and defensible analysis of client data and processes in order to support their sustainability and compliance efforts. Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:
- Ability to independently run modeling workstreams with minimal required revisions.
- Creation of models that are easy for others to review and follow.
- Trustworthy reasoning and results.
- Quality that can be standardized through internal structure and systems.
Candidates in locations with time zones that overlap with U.S. Central Time (CT) are welcome to apply. Specific expectations of the role are outlined below.
Life Cycle Assessment and Modeling
- Independently design, build and refine carbon intensity, product footprint and GHG models from operational data provided by clients.
- Convert imperfect datasets into structured, transparent calculations with clear assumptions and checks.
- Apply regulatory and voluntary methodologies accurately and flexibly. Methodologies may include but are not limited to: RED III / ISCC EU, GREET-based programs, CORSIA, Canada Fuel LCA Model, ISO 14067 and IPCC.
- Iterate and update models as data, project scope or regulations evolve.
- Produce modeling documentation and results that are easy to review and defend.
- Strengthen internal modeling standards, quality assessment routines and reusable templates.
Client Communication and Support
- Lead intake and review of client data to include: defining data request boundaries, validating assumptions and closing gaps, as needed.
- Present models and results to clients, auditors, verifiers and regulators; respond to technical questions and provide supporting evidence.
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Protect confidential client information.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years in LCA, carbon footprinting, carbon intensity or GHG accounting.
- Advanced Excel modeling demonstrating clear structure, checks and documentation.
- Strong quantitative judgment in industrial systems including energy, materials, yields, coproducts, logistics, etc.
- Fluency in English, along with strong organizational and communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Ability to lead client meetings with minimal supervision.
- Timezone overlap with U.S. Central Time: A minimum overlap of 4 hours per day between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm CT for team and client meetings.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- PhD in a quantitative engineering, energy or environmental discipline with demonstrated expertise in life cycle assessment or carbon accounting.
- Familiarity with certification-driven or regulated programs.
- Fluency with openLCA.
- Experience building QA frameworks or modeling libraries.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, Teams and SharePoint.
Compensation and Benefits
Please note that hires based in the U.S. are employed directly by Foxley. Non-U.S. hires are employed via EOR with locally compliant payroll, benefits and employment terms. All hires receive highly competitive compensation and generous performance bonuses. Benefits and paid leave are country-specific based on statutory and Foxley norms. Base compensation and benefits details will be shared early in the recruitment process.
